1931 Standard Phaeton for sale or trade. Less than 5,000 standard phaetons were made in 1931; this is an opportunity to own a rare open car without breaking the bank. This car is an older restoration that still wears well or could be the basis for a fine points restoration if somebody wanted to take it further. The body and fenders were repainted sometime prior to me purchasing the car. I have enjoyed the car for a couple of years but prefer the looks of the earlier cars and have a little guy at home and decided I would rather have a closed car for now. Asking $17,000 OR would trade for a 28/29 closed car that is an older restoration or project in reasonable shape plus cash. Favorite body styles include the oval window business coupe, blind back four-door sedans, and commercial vehicles including AA trucks (I am particularly fond of commercial vehicles with period aftermarket bodies.

Beautiful Sport Coupe with original body, interior, and soft roof. My father was a lifelong “car nut” (his words, not mine) and this Model A was one of his pets. It has long been in our family and never stored outside. My father passed in May of 2024, and we have finally decided that we’re ready for it to have a new home with another car enthusiast. This coupe is a classic black/brown exterior with orange wheels and a fully functional rumble seat. -Black/Brown/Tan, Original Body & Interior, Rumble Seat -Recently inspected (Nov 2025) with electrical work done: Ignition points & cable replaced Condenser replaced Distributor rotor & cap replaced 6-volt coil replaced Timing and spark gaps adjusted Starts easily, runs smoothly, and is ready for touring, shows, or club events. Mother's uncle's new car. Runs well. Stored in barn '49, (34K on odometer). Retrieved '79 repainted original Arabian Sand (Acrylic Lacquer) '80. 5 disk clutch replaced with 30s single disk assembly '81. Original: top, seats (had seat covers since birth), engine, carb, Powerhouse generator, starter, water pump (refurbished), plugs, transmission, glass, Remington Cabin heater. New rings/pistons/rods solved compression issue '90. New radiator '24. Non-original Ford parts: seat covers, seat belts, spare 6V battery box in rumble seat with disconnect switch. Electric wiper broke replaced with manual wiper. Pop out switch broken/replaced. Jack OBrien    

Older restoration. Runs great. Schwalm's rebuilt, balanced engine. NuRex alternator, Mitchell overdrive, Aires stainless steel muffler and Fog King fog lights. Mechanically excellent. Some paint blemishes, but car looks very good. Comes with a locking front storage box, trunk, car cover and the original engine. Tires are old. Odometer - 12,487 (reset when restored).
