MARC Mileage Program Awards and Statistics Mileage Year 2024 from Betty Fisher, Chair

This year, we saw a decrease in the number of active Mileage Program members and registered vehicles. This was due in part, I believe, to a significant number of members who somehow forgot to renew their MARC dues in 2024, which led to their (and their vehicles) not being counted in the totals for that mileage year. A second factor was likely the fact that several larger regions did not submit reports this year. Of course, there is no requirement to report every year, so this is not unusual. Statistics for the 2024 mileage year are shown below. Awards were mailed to region mileage coordinators and Unaffiliated members on March 14.

For mileage year 2024, there were 1,076 active MMP members with 1,277 active vehicles. Of these, 434 members reported mileage for 547 vehicles. Total reported mileage for 2024 was 618,708. We received reports from 71 regions (54 got awards), and from 19 Unaffiliated members reporting 22 cars (5 got awards). We sent out 139 awards. Thirty-seven were first-time awards, and two were for mileage in excess of 100,000, with the highest being for195,000 miles. We registered 74 new vehicles in the program since this time last year.
