MARC Mileage Program Awards and Statistics

I’m happy to report that mileage year 2021 was, in fact, an improvement over 2020. This is probably due to a combination of factors – loosening of some of the COVID restrictions, plain old pandemic fatigue, and cabin fever among others. Whatever the reason, the stats for the MARC Mileage Program (MMP) reflected a significant increase compared with last year.
There are currently 1,263 active MMP members with 1,387 active vehicles. (See my column earlier in this issue for a definition of what is considered an “active member” and “active vehicle.”) Of these, 532 members reported mileage for 671 vehicles.
We registered 51 new vehicles in the program since this time last year.
For mileage year 2021, we received reports from 85 regions (62 got awards) and 14 Unaffiliated members (six got awards).
Total mileage for 2021 was 865,612.
This year, we sent out 173 awards. Thirty-nine were first-time awards; six were for mileage in excess of 100,000; and two were for mileage in excess of 200,000!
